We are pleased to announce that University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center has once again been certified by the Gluten Intolerance Group’s Gluten Free Food Service Certification Program!
At UH Cleveland Medical Center, the team has created a separate kitchen that serves only gluten free meals to the patients in their rooms. While staying at the hospital the patients are able to order off of a gluten-free menu from the comfort of their room. The order is then sent to the gluten-free patient kitchen where one of the staff meticulously prepares the meal following strict protocol put in place by the knowledgeable UH Cleveland culinary staff and certified by the Gluten Intolerance Group. Once the meal is prepared, it is delivered to the patient following the same strict protocols. The kitchen is audited on a yearly basis to ensure that the processes put in place are continuously being adhered to.
